Information about SITHS eID
SITHS eID is a new authentication method that is more flexible and also works on mobile devices.
SITHS eID is used in systems that have been adapted for this authentication method, but it still
works with systems using the previous card‑based login method.
We encourage all private healthcare providers and external stakeholders without a computer from
Region Uppsala to uninstall NetID as soon as possible and install SITHS eID for Windows MD in order to:
- Authenticate to systems and services that use the new authentication method. As of 5 May 2025, card‑based login will be mandatory in our medical record systems Cosmic and T4.
- Use mobile login for systems or services that use SITHS eID as the authentication method.
- Manage your SITHS cards via “My Pages”.
Important!
Please note that this version cannot run together with NetID.
