Information about Siths eID.

SITHS eID is a new authentication method that is more flexible and also works on mobile devices. The SITHS eID is used in systems adapted for this authentication method.

Region Uppsala is currently using SITHS eID for Windows without minidriver together with NetID during the period 20231211 – 20240212.
From 20240212 onwards NetID is removed and replaced with SITHS eID with minidriver (MD)

We urge all private healthcare providers and external stakeholders without a computer from the Uppsala region to immediately uninstall NetID and install SITHS eID for Windows MD 2.1 (with SAC minidriver) in order to:

• Be able to authenticate against systems and services that use the new authentication method.
• Be able to use mobile login to systems or services that use SITHS eID as an authentication method
• Be able to administer your SITHS cards on My pages.

Note that this version cannot run together with NetID. Please read the Uninstall and Install Procedure instructions (link on the right) before downloading SITHSeID for Windows 2.1 MD
